I am too excited to get the colored serigraph art piece of Inuyasha and kegome coz it has 100 copies only.

Now hold on your breathe guys coz I am gonna crack one more surprise. The Inauysha lovers has gotta a golden opportunity to meet the voice character, Keppie Yamaguchi. He will also appear at the store to shake hand with the fans and offer a chance of his photographs. There will also be exhibit in the shop for storyboards, scripts and other production material from first Inuyasha anime to Inuyasha: The final act. Well, I am not sure how many of you Inuyasha fans know that Kirara, who is Sango’s youkai escort, actually has a great resemblance to the nekomata, a Japanese mythological creature. However, Kirara does not exhibit the traditional behavior of the nekomata and abstains from carrion-eating and necromancy.

“Kirara,” as the name appears in Inuyasha, is a word which when pronounced imitates the sound of the sparkling of a stone, predominantly mica. In addition, the meaning of the word Shippou in the Japanese language is Seven Treasures. Moreover, “Miroku”, when translated into Japanese means Maitreya, who according to Buddhist tradition is the forthcoming joyful Buddha.

An episodes of the Inuyasha TV show, titled Chokyuukai and the Plundered Brides, features three creatures from a famous work of Chinese literature, named Journey to the West. This work tells the tale of a Buddhist monk’s pilgrimage to India and has also been made into an animated series.

Have you ever wondered why Inuyasha is attired as he is? Well, that is because his unique red dress is made from the fur of the fire rat. This is one of the treasures sought in Taketori Monogatari, a well-liked 10th century folktale of Japan.

Now let’s come to the Staff of Heads, which is referred to as the nintoujou in Inuyasha TV Show and is carried by Jaken, who is Sesshoumaru’s retainer. It is an actual work of art that is put on show at Japan’s Kamakura Museum.

Even though the manga series of Inuyasha contained a fair amount of nudity, the animated series cut down the same to a great extent and never featured anything revealing.

Hey everyone! It is just so sad that Inuyasha TV show ended just after airing nine seasons in America, while the series still continues to entertain millions of fans in Japan. And while I was casually surfing the net looking for latest information about the Inuyasha series in Japan, I came across some trivial facts that seemed interesting. So I thought of sharing the same with you all.

We all are well aware of the fact that the Inuyasha series originated in Japan in the form of a manga which was later made into an animated TV show. But what most of us do not know is that after 167 episodes, Sunrise Inc. decided to end the series as it had leveled with the ongoing manga series and Sunrise Inc. did not have more material to make further episodes. Later, it was publicly made clear by the producer of Inuyasha series that only the first series of the show had been terminated and the show was going to return with a second series.

We all also know that Inuyasha has a fox demon in his body but did any of you know that in Japanese, Inuyasha means dog demon. Inuyasha is actually made up of the words Inu which means dog and Yasha which is commonly accepted to suggest a supernatural creature like a demon. Another word, Onigumo, is actually a combination of two Japanese words that mean ogre and spider.

In addition, the series featured a four-episode story arc that started with the episode named The Ancestor’s Name is Kagome and it included four youkai ninjas named Suzaku the bird, Seiryuu the dragon, Byakko the tiger, and Genbu the tortoise. What most people are unaware of is that all these four ninjas are in fact mythological creatures from Chinese constellations. Each of them represents a direction and a season of the year and are featured in numerous historical Chinese myths and legends.

Hey all the Inuyasha buffs out there. It’s been a long time since Inuyasha ended and I found this nice thing to fill in your entertainment time, between the reruns of the show, and these are Inuyasha movies that too came a long time back.
All the four films have a totally different time span than the TV series, and all have been made and created in Japan, with an English subtitle and dubbed version released in the States by Viz Media.
On 16th January, 2001, In Japan was released the film: InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time. This movie sees Inuyasha battle a demonic rival, Menomaru, along with Shippo, Kagome, Sango and Miroku, and this evil has been bestowed life upon by some jewel shard, while the gang continues to look for the Jewel shards of Shikon. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

Getting on to the second movie, which was released around two years after the first one that is on 21st December 2002, and was named InuYasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass. Here Inuyasha and his gang routs down Naraku and hope to lead a routine life but soon are involved in a confrontation with Kaguya, their latest adversary.
InuYasha the Movie: Swords of an Honorable Ruler, is the third movie and was released a year later on 20th December, 2003. The movie that did a spectacular business, revolved around Inuyasha’s father’s sword number three, So’unga being revived from the seal that is hundreds of years old, and now the sword is hell bent to demolish the world. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha have to team up to halt this mission.
Ok, now the turn of InuYasha the Movie: Fire on the Mystic Island, which is the fourth film, launched on 23rd December, 2004. The plot of this movie revolves around Inuysasha’s gang trying to save some children who are stuck on a strange and unknown Houraijima Island due to rage of the Shitoushin, the four Gods.
