Richard Ian Cox is a Welsh Canadian voice actor. He is a very good speaker of the French language. He enjoys cycling, skating, and horse riding and even likes to practice judo. He is also known by his nickname Frenum which refers to the bridle of a horse. In his free time he takes acting classes at Tarlington Training which is located in Vancouver in British Columbia. He is married to Becky since June 2006.

Richard started acting since he was nine years old. His acting credits on television include Will and Dewitt, Care Bears, Eureka, Being Ian, Stargate, X-Men, Silverwing, Rockman.exe, The Black Stallion, Ranma1/2 and Masters of Science Fiction besides doing the voice over for Inuyasha in the animated series of the same name. He has also acted in films like My Five Wives, Alive, Trapped Ashes, Grey Matters, Ghost Rider and Battle in Seattle etc. He has won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor Starring in an Off-Primetime or Cable Series for the series The Black Stallion in 1992.
Role in Inuyasha
In Inuyasha, he has done the voice over for the title character of Inuyasha. He is from an era when Japan was inhabited by the demons. He is a half demon being the son of a powerful demon father and a human mother. He was in love with Kikyo who is reborn as Kagome, but he does not remember that till the mid of the second season. He is constantly troubled by his brother Sesshomaro who is a true demon. Sesshomaro wants to get the powerful sword Tetsusaiga which has been left to Inuyasha by their father.
